Ty Sorrell is an artist born in PG county, raised in Dumfries, VA, now building a creative home in Richmond, Va. Grew up in a very "churchy" household, father played piano for several churches and was the driving force behind getting him on the piano at age 5. Being handed over from his biological family at a young age is how Ty landed in Dumfries, Va. A suburb of D.C. From there he met what is now the artist family " Tribe Ninety Five" and a few others such as "Alfred." and "Clwdwlkr". After coming into Richmond for a string of shows alongside Alfred, that was when it was decided that Richmond was the place to make a home.

Since coming down, Ty has become a resident and has connected with various artists from in and out of the city. Ty raps, produces, engineers, and plays multiple instruments. The commencing of the different perspectives, emotions, personality, and styles coming together to create from nothing reminded him of what it might've been like before when we were all nothing. God's House is Ty's take on that thought, but reflecting on the similarities of creatives, and entities that we've claimed to be our "creators". While also commentating on what the idea or image of God in America is, and what it means to not relate or look like that.
